SWU and Samsung Electronics Sign a Business Agreement

Sookmyung Women's University (SWU) and Samsung Electronics signed a business agreement to promote industrial-academic cooperation and cultivate future female leaders. On Apr. 30, the agreement ceremony, held at the Administration Building, was participated in by Vice President Choi Wan-woo (People Team Leader), Center Chairman Kim Gyeong-jin (People Team Industrial-Academic Cooperation Center), Managing Director Kim Chang-yong (People Team Recruitment Manager), and Part Head Gi Min-jeong (Head of Industrial-Academic Cooperation Center Domestic Industrial-Academic Part) of Samsung Electronics, and members of the academic board of SWU including President Chang Yunkeum and Vice President Park Jong-seong. President Chang Yunkeum and Samsung Electronics Vice President Choi Wan-woo took a commemorative photo after the business agreement signing ceremony. SWU and Samsung Electronics agreed to work in cooperation to ▲cultivate Samsung Electronics employees through the SWU programs, ▲support advanced engineering research, ▲provide an opportunity to participate in training programs including a visit to the business site and industrial trend lectures, and ▲develop a Samsung Electronics employee secondment program to give advice for the industrial-academic curricula. "We will put forth the efforts for the mutual development of both institutions by strengthening industrial-academic cooperation and supporting the engineering training program with excellent human resources of Samsung Electronics," said Vice President Choi Wan-woo. "I hope that our students can have more opportunities such as internship programs and research exchange through the business agreement with Samsung Electronics," said President Chang Yunkeum.
